Andy Greaves is without doubt, one of the most versatile comedy entertainers in the country with over 30 years experience, and as we all know there is no substitute for that.

His likeable personality on stage is put to great use in his stand-up routine. An excellent comic who loves to interact with the audience, a master of the adlib with a mixture of one liners, jokes and observational comedy about every day life and situations. Additionally to this, his amazing talent as a ventriloquist with the help of his sidekick Lewis the stork, a cheeky bird who develops a lovely rapport with both Andy and the audience. You then have an act of the highest quality, which is the reason readers of Venue magazine voted Andy Greaves the Midlands top comedy speciality act in 2007.

His style is that of a cheeky, clean comic and with years of working firstly in the clubs and then moving on to do after dinner cabaret, corporate events, cruises, Thomson Gold hotels and holiday parks. Andy can adapt his act to suit most situations. In the past he has worked in theatre with Joe Longthorne, Jimmy Cricket, and Les Dennis. Pantomimes with John Inman and Darren Day to name just a few. In 2004 Andy topped the bill on the Villa Marina summer show in the Isle of Man.

Andy is no stranger to television, making his first TV appearance on Yorkshire Television at the age of just 13. Since then he has appeared on Granada TV's "Fame Game", Sky TV's "Search for a Star", which was followed by the TV series "Guys & Dolls". A Saturday night spot along side Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer on BBC1. Plus TV adverts for IKEA. Andy has also used his stand-up comedy to do TV warm-up for Carlton Television.

Reviews

Below are just a few of Andy's reviews:

The Stage
'One of the biggest receptions of the evening, went to
Andy Greaves from Worksop, with his cuddly stork, Lewis.
Vocalist and vent, the comedy came thick and fast.
'

The Stage
'Andy Greaves and Lewis. A comedy vent who is not
only a superb technician, but peddles his odd bird Lewis
with a genuinely funny line in patter.
'

Roger Holmes 'The Magic of the Music Hall' The Stage
'Maybe comedy topped the bill - clean, well-timed,
sharp & effective stuff from the personable Andy Greaves
with, from time to time, the dubious help of his feathered
friend Lewis. Nothing antique about this act.
'

Bernard Bale 'Cinderella The Cresset Peterborough' The Stage
'Ventriloquist Andy Greaves Playing Baron Hardup deserves
a special mention - he is a seriously underrated performer.
